Compass Group

Christian youth group that meets in the Church Hall, Union Street on Thursday from 7.15 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. and is open to children in Primary 4 to Primary 6/7.

Each meeting costs £1 which goes towards equipment, etc

Each week we teach from the Bible through a varied programme and encourage active participation in games, crafts and quizzes with the extra dimension of team building exercises.

The Group also has special fun days and trips. For the last two years the Group went to Largs to cycle round Millport staying in a church hall. It was an enjoyable experience for both children and leaders.

Compass is also involved in the Abbey Church Spring musical.

Stepping Stones

Christian youth group that meets in the Church Hall, Union Street on Thursday from 5.45 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. and is open to children in Primary 1 to Primary 3.

Each meeting costs £1 which goes towards funding trips, crafts, materials and equipment.

Each week we teach from the Bible by means of games, crafts, quizzes and drama. The Group also has special fun days and trips.

Every spring we perform a musical to raise funds for the Childrens ministry.

Crossover

Christian youth group that meets in the Church Hall, Union Street on Monday from 7.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. and is open to children from Primary 7 to Secondary 1.

Each meeting costs £1.

The weekly programme consists of teaching on the relevance of the Bible to daily life through activities and exercises designed to stretch further the young peoples’ imagination using music and drama as well as crafts and games appropriate to the age group.

There are also opportunities to take part in outside activities and excursions. We already have climbed mountains (three of them Munros which we did in one day!), been karting, bowling, and spent a weekend at Glenshee.
