Availability: Monday – Friday 6pm-10pm, Saturday until 5pm. Term time only.
Facilities: Showers. School equipment which could be booked direct with the Head Teacher.

The Y Hall, Union Street, Coupar Angus
The building is listed and sits back from the road, accessed through a small pend. Formerly a church, the hall is now home to Coupar Angus Youth Activities Group.
Size: This room is set informally with soft seating and a pool table. There is a recently fitted kitchen available for food and drink preparation, ideal for children’s parties and coffee mornings, etc.
Facilities: The Ground floor is wheelchair accessible via a door on the main street and across the courtyard. Unisex toilets afford one ambulant disabled persons compartment.

Abbey Church, Dundee Road, Coupar Angus

The Victorian Abbey Church sits on the site of the earlier Medieval Abbey on the road to Dundee. Currently it is undergoing a programme of alterations to offer modern facilities to visitors and parishioners alike. It is hoped that it will be able to seat up to 200 people when complete though please contact the Fabric Convenor for details.

Coupar Angus Town Hall, built by public subscription in 1887 to celebrate Queen Victoria’s Jubilee, has benefited from phased refurbishment works in recent years. There are 3 halls:
Main Hall:
Size: Theatre Style 272, Dance with tables round hall 255, Dinner Dance with tables 100
Availability: The hall is used on a regular basis by community groups and exercise classes so call for availability.
Facilities: Wheelchair access, disabled toilet, hearing loop. There is a stage area (8.5mx3.5mx1m high).
There is an entertainments licence in place.

There is a small kitchen with cooking facilities available.

Lesser Hall:
Size: Theatre style 52, Boardroom style 25, Dance 25
Availability: This is a first floor room and there is no lift.

Council Chambers:

The Red House Hotel, Station Road, Coupar Angus
The Red House Hotel has grown from the Railway Hotel in Victorian times to the modern hotel we see today. Run by the Bannerman family, this popular hotel plays host to business meetings and social occasions alike. Leisure facilities include a gym, sauna, squash courts and a pool table.

George Square has played host to a community market in the past and compliments the Cross area when scheduling an event in the centre of town.

It is essential that you let the Emergency Services know that you are holding an event outdoors. Here are the contact details:
Police – If you are organising a large public event, it is a good idea to let the emergency services know in advance. If you apply for an entertainments licence the details will be sent to them as a matter of course. If it does not require a licence, you can let the local police station know by calling 0300 111 2222 or writing to them at Blairgowrie Police Station, Ericht Lane, Blairgowrie, Perthshire.

The town has public toilets within the Shell Garage at Union Street and in Larghan Park on the Forfar Road.
