Coupar Angus Regeneration Trust (CART) is a working community regeneration organisation which was constituted in 1999 though informal meetings had taken place since 1997.
The purposes of the Trust are for the regeneration of urban and rural areas in and around Coupar Angus and the nearby villages of Ardler and Bendochy, where there is social and economic deprivation. Our Trustees include representatives from a number of other groups, promoting partnership working.
Over the years we have been involved in a number of projects in partnership with agencies and business:
Regeneration of Larghan Park
Worked in partnership with others in the Coupar Angus Townscape Heritage Initiative to regenerate town centre buildings
Community consultations in 2006 and 2013 with a range of community partners
Ran the community newsletter from 2006 – 2012 and still support the CAN do today
Support other community groups with information and contacts
Develop the pathways around the town
Printed and distributed the Town Map and Guide
Currently running the computer support service
