Avoid Flu this Winter

We now have seasonal flu vaccines available at the Medical Centre. We would encourage patients 65yrs or over by the 31st March 2009 and patients under the age of 65yrs who have one or more of the following medical conditions: Asthma, Respiratory Problems e.g. Emphysema, Diabetes, Heart Problems e.g. Angina, Renal or Liver dysfunction or Immune deficiency to contact the surgery and make an appointment for their flu jag. You also qualify for a flu vaccination if you are a registered carer for another person.

It is important to note that this is for seasonal Flu and the vaccine will not specifically target H1N1 "Swine Flu". More information about the swine flu vaccine will be available soon.
